Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive technique used to treat simple spider veins and reticular veins. A solution is injected into the afflicted veins.

Fine red or blue spider veins less than 1 mm in diameter. They appear as a faint red line, tree branches, or spider patterns and are smaller than varicose veins. Spider veins can appear on the legs and might cover a little or large area.

Small varicose veins, also known as reticular veins, are small blood vessels measuring 1 to 3 mm in diameter. Small varicose veins might expand due to high vein pressure or compromised vein valves. Small varicose veins or both small varicose and spider veins are possible.

Factors that may raise your risk include:
age, gender, pregnancy, hormonal, and obesity.

Other possible causes for varicose veins are ethnicity, posture, occupation, hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, primary valvular incompetence, and incompetent perforating veins.
